Hi, I’m Oliver! I’m a red fox lab who loves pizza snacks, belly rubs, and helping kids like you learn how to stay safe. When you join my Safety Squad, you’ll get to play games, do fun activities, and learn about friendship, safety, and all the stuff that makes a good Safety Pup!
Every month I get into something new — making a friend, trying again when I mess up, figuring out what to do when something doesn’t feel safe. Sometimes I get it wrong the first time. That’s okay. That’s how you learn.

At Good 4 Guns, we believe safety education should start early — and it should always feel approachable, positive, and empowering.
That’s why we created Oliver’s Safety Squad, a community program led by our four-legged Safety Captain, Oliver the Red Fox Lab.
Through games, coloring pages, and community events, Oliver helps children learn simple, age-appropriate safety rules — like what to do if they ever come across a firearm or something unsafe.Â
Our goal is to make these conversations easier for parents and more memorable for kids. We know that when children learn through play, they remember what to do — and that helps keep everyone safe.
What Parents Can Expect

Oliver’s Safety Squad is a free monthly storybook and activity series for young kids.

Each book follows Oliver — a very good dog who makes mistakes, tries again, and gets there — through the things childhood actually asks of them: being a good friend, listening, asking for help, being brave, and staying safe. Fire drills and bus lines. Sharing and starting over. What to do when something doesn’t feel right.

Print them, color them, read them together. A new one every month, always free.

How to Use These Resources
- Print or download the activities to do together.
- Talk through the steps with your child — make sure they understand what “unsafe” means and who a “trusted adult” is.
- Celebrate their learning! When your child completes an activity or attends an event, congratulate them on becoming an official Safety Squad Member!
